ICELAND

This Iceland Fine Art Landscape Photography gallery is dedicated to the unique beauty of Icelandic landscapes, created by fire and shaped by ice and by the elements. Iceland became very popular recently, but I personally love the challenge posed by finding new interpretations of iconic locations such as Vestrahorn, Jokulsarlon, Reynisfjara, Skogafoss, Seljalandsofss, Kikjufellsfoss and more, and of portraying Iceland’s landscapes in a new, personal way. What I find even more inspiring, though, is working with the winter light covering the island’s landscapes with a soft, often warm blanket of colours. Iceland is quite simply an unmissable destination for a landscape lover like me and one I always can’t wait to go back to.

After 4 years, 6 Workshops and 9 trips to Iceland, this portfolio started to grow so large that, for your convenience, I decided to divide it in 5 sub galleries:

ABOUT THE SEA | ABOUT DIAMONDS | ABOUT THE LAND | THE NORTHERN LIGHTS | ABOUT MAN’S WORK

ABOUT THE SEA

This gallery is dedicated to Iceland’s incredible coastal landscapes, featuring iconic locations such as Vestrahorn, Jokulsarlon, Reynisfjara and more, as well as lesser known – but not less beautiful – locations that I love! (Click on the thumbnails to browse the gallery):

ABOUT DIAMONDS

I find the Diamond Beach at Jokulsarlon a truly inspiring place, and one deserving its dedicated gallery here. After spending centuries trapped in a glacier, the fleeting sculptures first created and then continuously modified by the fast action of the elements finally could break free. In a terrible turn of events, after such a long wait to come to life they are destined to a life of just days, perhaps hours. The ones you see here are all long gone now, back to the water that first generated them. These images are all that is left of them, the sole proof of their existence and of their beauty. (Click on the thumbnails to browse the gallery):

ABOUT THE LAND

The Icelandic inland, as much of it as you can explore in the winter months that I love, is truly spectacular blanketed in snow and ice. Frozen waterfalls, black rock & sand covered by white snow and blue ice, geothermal areas and glaciers make for a truly beautiful and unique colour palette under the winter light. Be it iconic locations or less popular ones, the Icelandic inland is a goldmine of photographic inspiration. (Click on the thumbnails to browse the gallery):

THE NORTHERN LIGHTS

Watching the Northern Lights is a truly moving experience, and one that I highly recommend whether you are a photographer or not. Being able to photograph them, and share them with you, is a real privilege. (Click on the thumbnails to browse the gallery):

ABOUT MAN'S WORK

Finally, a small section portraying the work of man on the landscape through some of Iceland’s most iconic buildings as well as some lesser known ones. (Click on the thumbnails to browse the gallery):
